I’m back! Holidays are over (sniff sniff), but they had the desired effect…I’m refreshed, ethused, and ready to make 2021 my bitch.
I’ve started a new schedule, that allows me to write for an hour and a half every weekday morning. I can get around 1,000 words done in this time, which amounts to 5,000 a week. If I can stick to this schedule, the sequel to Guns of Perdition (Sins of the Lamb) will be finished in no time.

I’ve also planned an exercise schedule, which will get me on the treadmill for half an hour each day, AND…I can use that time to read, so my reading (and reviewing) will be catapulted this year, too.

Finally, imminent is the horror anthology, Wings & Fire (a Box Under the Bed Book), that I have three stories in. This anthology is due for release mid-January; keep your eyes out for more posts about Wings & Fire soon!
Some of my fellow bloggers and friends also had good stuff happen over the Christmas / New Year season. Priscilla Bettis got herself published in a vampire anthology, The Vampire Connoisseur. Congratulations, Priscilla! Young Adult author extrordinaire, Teri Polen, posted a fabulous review about Guns of Perdition. And, one of my favourite bloggers (Sally Cronin) posted an awesome review of one of my favourite author’s (D. Wallace Peach) most recent fantasy epic, ‘Unraveling the Veil’. Congratulations to you both for a thrilling book and entertaining review.
And I finally got round to reading some of the backed up books on my TBR. Keep an eye out in coming weeks for reviews of ‘Sam: A Shaggy Dog Story’ by Sally Cronin, Spellbound: A Horror Anthology, ‘The Ballad of Mrs. Moloney’ and ‘The Experimental Notebook II’ by C.S. Boyack
Whew. After all that, I need a holiday!
Aw shucks, thanks for the shout-out! How nice that you were able to plan writing and exercising into your days, that’s great! You’re going to rock 2021!

Oh, and that plan also includes weight loss. I started your book ‘Size Matters’ yesterday and so much resonates with me. I’ll be in touch as I progress 🙂

Loving your organisation skills, Jessica… puts mine to shame, but I may yet surprise myself!

I’m so not usually an organised person, so I thought I’d give it a try 🙂
Day two now and I have 2,000 words to show for it!

It’s not something I’ve really done before, Mike, but I’ve resolved that this year will not be the waste last year was. Day two and 2,000 words done!

Welcome back! I’m just now returning myself after an extended break. Congrats on setting a schedule for yourself. It sounds like you’re going to get a lot accomplished. And congratulations on the anthology, too. That’s awesome news. Happy 2021!

Thanks, Mae! I think quite a few people are determined to make this year shine to make up for the crappy 2020 everybody had. Looking forward to reading your posts again soon!

I can feel your refreshed enthusiasm, Jess. I’m so glad to hear that you have a writing schedule that will get me your next book in record time. Lol. And reading on the treadmill… that is awesome double-duty. Thanks for mentioning Sally’s reviews too. They’re like surprise presents. 🙂 Happy New Year, my friend.

And that writing schedule is working so well so far! Two days in, 2,000 words done! The treadmill worked well too last night; half hour and half a book (granted, a small one). So, yep, looking forward to this year!

Hahaha! I got another 1300 done this morning, so in three days that’s over 3000. And, I’m back invested and INTERESTED in my story again! Yay!
