I like this idea of writing a 15-word story. The limits make the writer chose strong words.

You’re so right. I tend to be wordy when I write, so this helps me focus 😁
PS; I just finished your Inca short story in Spellbound – really, really, really good!

I am glad you liked that one, Jessica. I thought the Inca’s were so very interesting. My story, The Warning, in the new collection is about the destruction of the pink and white terraces in New Zealand when Mount Tarawera erupted in 1886. I had to do some research on Maori culture. Have you been to Rotorua?

Ooo, that sounds interesting! No, we were so close to going in April, then of course COVID happened….. maybe next year we might get to NZ.

We also visited the giant redwoods and Rotorua, the geysers. There is a Maori village there. We also did some interesting things in and around Auckland including Sky Tower and Hobbiton.

Yeah, it sounds like an amazing place. And so close (for me).

Haha, so far for me. I doubt we ever visit again. We tried to make the most of our time there for this reason. A 22 hour flight.

This made me wonder if we can ever truly describe the magnificence of nature. We’d need millions of words. Nicely done!

Nah, I don’t think we can ever do it justice.

Ah! The power of words! I like their choice. Also, the evocative image.
