Hi dear friends! I’m still alive (post op). Sore, sorry, bored. Not quite able to sit at my keyboard for a long period of time though.
But! I wanted to point out a few things that have been going on in the blogosphere/Writing Community while I’ve been away that you might’ve missed.
First, if you haven’t seen it already, I was lucky enough to host the final stop of the Liars and Thieves blog tour – D Wallace Peach’s epic new fantasy series. If you’ve missed this tour, check out my review and get along to your nearest book store to take a peep at that beautiful cover. This is not a series you want to miss!
Also, while I was away, I found our dear D.L. Finn included my own Guns of Perdition in her 2020 Fall Edition series ‘Books that changed me‘. Oh my God! Books that changed me?! Wow, what author could hope for a higher accolade? I’m deeply humbled and grateful to Denise, and if you haven’t seen the other stellar company Guns of Perdition is keeping, head on over and check out her blog. Thanks Denise! You made my day. Week. Month. Aw heck, you made my year.
Finally, I’ve been asked to participate in an upcoming horror anthology put together by award winning author Dan Alatorre, and featuring my multi-talented friend, Robbie Cheadle. This will be the fifth “Box Under the Bed” horror anthology, and I’m so thrilled and honoured to be asked to submit a short story for it. Those of you who know me, know the gears will be already grinding away trying to find the right story to scare the pants off my readers. I’ll keep you all posted on this as things develop.
And now, I must head to the comfort of my recliner chair, and chomp a few more painkillers. I’ll be back in full force in a week or so, and am so looking forward to catching back up with you all!
Good to know you are alive and at least able to type a few words. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Haha, I’m glad you survived your holiday, Jessica [grin]. We survived ours too despite all the huge spiders and the monkeys who danced the cancan on our tin roofed house every morning from 4am. I’m glad to see you back in the saddle. I have to re-write my story for the next anthology as I want to change the POV. I’m going to send it along to you to read after if that’s okay? Hugs and Happy New Year.

Absolutely, I’d love to read it 🤗
Do you really have monkeys dancing on the roof??

Yes, indeed, and it was a metal roof so they made a huge racket. The first night it gave me quite a turn.

OMG, that’s so cool!! The most we get on our roof is a big dirty crow. Or maybe a possum. I’d love to see (maybe not hear) monkeys on the roof!
