I managed another eventful day of writing today – the muse is being kind to me.
5,300 words wracked up and Part III of the WIP planned.
Here’s a very small snippet from today’s session (I can’t share too much of today’s writing because, you know, spoilers).
Rolls of naked flab dripped down his torso and dozens of octopus-like tentacles protruded and writhed from his flesh, each gross appendage ending with a slathering mouth. His small head jutted between his thick, quivering shoulders, and sunken in his fleshy face were two beady beetle-black eyes. The only other protuberances to escape his fat folds were a pig-like nose, and a round maw of spiky teeth.
He was not an attractive being.
He sounds like a bizarre, creep-fest of a creature. Excellent.:-)

Thanks Mae – I’ve got to strike while the proverbial’s hot- my muse has a habit of wandering off 😉

Great word count. Then he said, “I’m here to pick up your daughter for the dance.”

But I bet he’s as sweet as he can be.

Well, he does enjoy sweet things… like human meat 😳

This is very vivid, Jessica. He is not an attractive person at all. It reminds me of a scene from Dune.

You know, there’s a series I’ve somehow missed! Must give it a go. I’m reading The Long Walk currently based on your review… wow. Great story!

The last line made me chuckle. Ewww.
And 5300 words is, well, awesome. You’re on a roll!

Yeah I might have to cut that last line from the final draft (not really in keeping with the tone) but I’m just having fun with it at the moment 😁

It depends on the pov. If you have a sarcastic character, it will work fine. 🙂
