Burning the Candle

Howdy all,

I’m burning the candle very much at both ends right now. I’ve started my new job (manager of a retirement village with my co-manager and husband, Andrew), and am well and truly in the throes of moving house (it’s a ‘live-in’ position).

So by day I’m learning the names of 150+ residents, learning how to run a retirement village, unpacking stuff into the new house at lunchtime, and packing up new carloads to go across by night.

All this means I have had no time for writing or blogging and don’t know when I will next. But I am happy to report that I am really enjoying the new position; the residents of the village are so warm and welcoming, and I’m thouroughly enjoying working with hubby again.

So, exhausted and tired I may be, absent for the moment too, but I will be back one day!

  1. I’, echoing the sentiments of everyone else. I’m happy to hear that you’ve got exciting changes and you get to spend your days with your love. Moving is always a super pain in the ass, but this too shall pass. Take care of yourself. Have a seat and a cup of tea in quiet at least once this week. You’ve got our support!
