WIP novel update

By now, I’m sure you all know that I’m laboriously working on my debut novel, Guns of Perdition. I had planned to self-publish this WIP in December, however I’ve recently decided to try the traditional publishing route.

This means Guns of Perdition may not be released in 2017 or possibly 2018. It depends if I get picked up for publication and / or get sick of waiting and self-publish anyway!

But, in preparation for submission to publishers, I’ve had a good long think about my WIP novel and have decided………. to make it a series! Which will be good news if it ever sees the light of day and people actually enjoy it!

So now, Guns of Perdition is Volume 1 of The Armageddon Showdown.

I have completely mapped out the series, and am now three quarters finished with Guns. My plan is to set to work straight away on Volume 2 as soon as I begin submitting Guns.

So my lovely ones, please wish me luck in the coming weeks; luck to finish the darned thing, luck to edit the darned thing and then luck to submit the darned thing. Oh yeah, and luck for some delirious, sleep deprived editor to agree to publish me!

  1. Jess, publishers’s LOVE series. When you submit, definitely mention that you have planned for a series. I have fingers crossed for you, It’s always best to dive into the next book/project (as you have planned) while waiting to hear back on the first one. It helps pass the waiting stretch!

    Good luck! 🙂

  2. Oh, good luck, Jess! I remember back when I was trying that. It was like you said, and I ran out of patience. But I believe YOU CAN DO IT! (I love the title, BTW.)
