This week’s member inducted into The Oucast’s Bloghouse is none other than the muse who started this entire project – Millie Schmidt.
When Millie wrote her now infamous piece ‘The Cool Kids of WordPress’ she inspired my childish, rebellious side to counter with taunts of starting up an ‘Outcast’s of WordPress’ club. And here it is. The Outcast’s Bloghouse. And now I have the honour of opening our doors to Miss Kitty-Cool Millie.
Miss Millie is a fellow Aussie (maybe why we’re both so left-of-centre) who hails from the next state over from me, New South Wales. Millie is an avid – let’s be clear now, avid – cat fan, though she tends to tone down her obsession slightly;
“And wait yes, I do have a cat too. You may notice that I love sprinkling my blog posts with cats. I really do apologise if cats are not your cup of tea, but I just can’t help myself. If you don’t like cats, that’s OK, I have a dog too, so we can still be friends.”
Millie describes a normal day as hanging out with her cats and dog, drinking lattes and blogging (The Cat’s Write), Instagramming, writing and studying astronomy. Millie also likes to hit the gym and generally dream about being “outdoorish” even if she doesn’t get the time to actually get there.

Millie has a books page featuring some soon to be released works and recently Millie’s sister has been stirring up YouTube with her amazing singing.
I encourage you to pop by and check out both sites when you can.
And if you would like to stalk Millie, you can find her @ Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and also on Goodreads!
The original muse behind The Outcast’s Bloghouse and bubbly cat aficionado, I dub Millie Schmidt, a member of the Outcast’s Bloghouse and Sister to the Muse Goddess Calliope.
Welcome aboard Millie 🙂

You did sound a bit authoritarian in the way you told me to get cracking. It’s on its way to you.

Speaking/Not Speaking about the cool kids of WP, why don’t I see your posts in my reader feed? I was thinking you had been kinda quiet, only to see I missed all these posts! And hey, Millie! Welcome to the Club.

I’ve visited Millie’s blog in the past and was smitten by the feline theme. This may be a side effect of my extreme OCD (obsessive cat disorder).
And speaking of cats, my rescue girl, Raven, just turned one today!!

I think we suffer from the same disorder! Raven is a cute name 🙂 I’ve had my rescue cat for just over a year now (though he is about 1 1/2 old).

Always happy to connect with someone else who understands OCD, LOL. And rescue cats are the best kind 🙂
